All ordinary passport holders are requested to apply for visas for Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR of China at the Chinese Visa Application Service Facility (CVASF) from 1 May, 2019 in order to provide more comfortable environment and better service. The Consular Section of the Embassy will no longer accept this kind of applications.

2. Office hours and payment

Office hours: 8:00 am-3:00 pm (Monday to Friday, except public holidays)

Submission: 8:00 am-3:00 pm (Monday to Friday, except public holidays)

Payment and pickup: 8:00 am-3:00 pm (Monday to Friday, except public holidays)

CVASF Service Charges: Besides collecting visa fees and express fees on behalf of the Embassy, CVASF also charges service fees. For detailed information, please visit the website: www.visaforchina.org.

The processing time: For normal visas it takes 5 working days to proceed after submission. Express visas should be authorized by the consular officer and charged for express fees. The above processing time is only for reference. As some applications should be sent to Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR of China, it will take longer than 5 working days to process the visas.

3.Special Attention

It is decided by the Embassy whether to issue the visa or not. The CVASF has no right to issue the visa.

Holders of diplomatic or service(official) passport, or applicants qualified for diplomatic, courtesy, service visas, or applicants applying for Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR of China entry permit may still submit applications directly to the Chinese Embassy (Address: P.O.Box 30508, Woodlands Road, Nairobi, Kenya-00100；Office hours: 9:30-11:30, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, except public holidays).

The applicant can apply for visas for Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR of China at CVASF. The applicant can also submit applications to the Immigration Department of Hong Kong SAR or Government of Macao S.A.R., Public Security Police Force.
