On April 14th, 2007, H.E. Mr. Zhang Ming, Ambassador of China to Kenya, attended a national memorial service at KICC held by the Kenyan Government for the flight KQ 507 victims.

H.E. Mr. Mwai Kibaki, president of Kenya, Hon. Moody Awori, Vice President of Kenya, as well as Hon. John Njoroge Michuki, Minister for Provincial Administration and National Security, addressed the congregation during the Service. Leaders from various religions also served prayers for the victims and their family members and relatives.
