January 22nd, 2008, Nairobi. Ambassador Zhang Ming held a ceremony in the Embassy to hand over a humanitarian aid of 500,000 US Dollars to the World Health Organization (WHO) Somalia Office. The WHO will use the donation to purchase medical equipment and medicine and carry out medical aid project in Somalia.

In his remark, Ambassador Zhang Ming expected that the donation would be helpful to improve the medical service to the internal displaced people in Somalia.

On behalf of the WHO and the Somali Government, Mr. Mojallid, WHO Somalia Representative, and H.E. Mr. Mohamed, the Somali Ambassador to Kenya, attended the function and respectively expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the generosity of the Chinese People.
